As part of our larger family I would like to share with you a brief report on the Commemoration of the Centennial of Satyagraha on September 11, 2006 .
In brief, we had more then 600 people for the day in one auditorium who have been participants in a dialogue on a culture of nonviolence. About 115 took an oath to become community-based nonviolent peace workers; we call them Shanti Sainiks. Now from this month we will undertake their training group by group. On this occasion the first-ever Urdu translation of Mahatma Gandhi's root text Hind Swaraj was also released . You might like to see our website www.swarajpeeth.org for photographs of the program.
