Venue: Gram Bharti, Simultala, District Munger, Bihar Date: 13-16 September 2003 Participants: 150 Men & Women  One hundred and fifty five participants from five blocks of Munger, and from Supaul and Saharsa. Members of Gram-Sabhas and Prakhand-Sabha (village and block-councils).
Indradev Bhai explained "Your talk is firmly established in every one's heart and mind... No one till now has talked to us in this language. Our attention was fixed when you were explaining Swaraj. We understand now how knowledge of the self is no different from good politics, and what is true Dharma. There is so much power in Gandhiji's words. We want you to come to each of our villages. our boys and girls are turning to violence." Representatives of 50 village councils took a decision to follow-up the teachings by standing against the evil of caste and religious distinctions. Shri Shivanandbhai Jha, head of Gram Bharati and a veteran Sarvodaya leader informed later that the study-camp made a definite positive impact on a group of MCC-men who had mingled with the rest for all the three days without other Knowing their real identity, "We believe that Gandhi, dressed in our clothes, was Birla's man..now we realize he fought for us." A harijan lady, sitting in the front row, could not hold her enthusiasm and joy at what she was listen to. "You are talking of what is there in my Guru-mantra.." |
